ABOUT THE JOB

Elisa Polystar is looking for a developer with a good grasp of Linux system administration and security best practices. In this role you will work primarily within a development team on creating and verifying standardized solutions that are deployed to our customers. Occasional support towards end customers can be expected, primarily during upgrades.

Our arena is the software solutions in telecommunication, and we aim at producing and implementing the best network testing and analytics solutions on the planet. One of our solutions deals with TBs of data within tens of seconds. Elisa Polystar works with agile methods and each development team is responsible for all aspects of the features the team develops.

THE JOB INCLUDES

  • Development of new features, bug fixing and verification.
  • Maintaining the platform used for deploying and running the Elisa Polystar products.
  • Automating installation, upgrade, and maintenance of the platform and the Elisa Polystar products.
  • Ensuring that good security practices are followed on both the operating system and application level
  • Educating users and colleagues on proper Linux and security practices.

TECHNICAL ACCOUNT MANAGER – CANADA

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) department plays a critical role in ensuring overall revenue growth to Elisa Polystar. The Technical Account Manager is an integral part of the sales cycle, collaborating with the Business Region Director to expand the breadth and depth of Elisa Polystar services and product adoption. Reporting to Vice President Presales.

Every day will bring interesting, challenging and rewarding experience on the job while you:

  • Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company.
  • Engage with your customers to understand business needs, develop and own the technical relationship with the customer.
  • Effectively handle all presales duties such as demo, presentations, proof of concept, RFI/RFP/RFQ and assist in the technical sales process.
  • Design future proof solutions including hardware and software licenses that best fit customer requirements.
  • Collect all customer network information required for the design, implementation and configuration of the solution.
  • Help Communication Service Providers (CSP) to create true business value through data and analytics and make CSP a more data-driven organization.
  • Technically qualify opportunities and decide the fit vs. Elisa Polystar solutions
  • Communicate with the customer in post-sales phase.
  • Present new solution/features and company roadmap.

Experience and knowledge

  • 5+ years experience in working with wireless and/or wireline communication service providers.
  • Understanding the specific needs and challenges of communication service providers from an Operational Support System (OSS) perspective.
  • Previous customer facing experience as a technical lead
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
  • Presentation skills: equally good with both large and small audiences.

Deep understanding of one or more of the following areas:

  • 2G/3G/4G/5G/VoLTE & IMS protocols
  • Access/Transport/Core network analytics and troubleshooting
  • IP/MPLS/SR Network protocols and architectures

We are now looking for a telco industry engineer to work in a versatile role of Service Assurance Engineer. The service you contribute to is serving a large part of the telco industry globally and we aspire to implement the best network analytics solution on the planet.

The Service Assurance Engineer work is organized in regional teams serving clients. The role in Stockholm is a hybrid one with quite a lot of flexibility. Our headquarters are in Hammarby Sjöstad, Stockholm.

This job includes:

As Service Assurance Engineer you work in a dual role of

1) Individual projects of setting up services to new clients and expanding the services of existing clients

2) Supporting clients’ service and providing stellar technical services

The project delivery tasks include:

  • System configuration of Elisa Polystar’s monitoring and OSS products
  • Integration to various third party tools
  • Technical collaboration with clients and inside of Elisa Polystar on system configuration issues
  • Technical troubleshooting and producing client system documentation

The technical support tasks include:

  • Resolving incidents and technical service requests by clients in with SLA
  • Implementing software updates
  • Reviewing deployed systems regarding performance and technical solidness

  • Telco and data networks: at Elisa Polystar one needs to understand the perspective of the client, of the telco operator technician that uses our software to troubleshoot their networks
  • Data and telephone protocols: the Elisa Polystar solutions lie on real time capturing, decoding, deciphering and correlating messages into call flows and aggregated reports
  • Linux: the solutions are running in Linux environments and it’s useful to know how to edit, search and filter files, understand users and group configurations, and to have good knowhow of e.g. SSH, SNMP, NTP helps you even further
  • Furthermore, know-how of MySQL/databases and scripting help in the role as well

ABOUT THE JOB

Elisa Polystar is looking for a test engineer with a huge interest in databases, Linux and troubleshooting on low system level.

Our arena is the software solutions in telecommunication, and we aim at producing and implementing the best network testing and analytics solutions on the planet. One of our solutions deals with TBs of data within tens of seconds.

You will be joining in a software team that focused on databases. This team is very important as they contribute to the visualization of data in our solutions. The team runs an agile way of working and parts of the team are located in Stockholm and Umeå regions. The team meets together once in a while (hybrid work with emphasis on remote is very doable). The seven individuals form a great combination of experience and enthusiasm.

What’s your profile like? It depends on your strengths but in general we are looking for a SW engineer with:

  • background of working/troubleshooting in a Linux system,
  • some skills with Java/JVM and/or Python,
  • interest/experience of administrating Linux test servers/VMs, and a
  • good knowhow in both manual and automation testing
  • You can jump to this role from testing, or from a developer career track with a solid interest to learn the field of testing
